Senior Accounting Manager

What we are looking for:

The role of the Senior Accounting Manager manages the Accounting team of 5-7 direct reports for oversight of: Month-end close/reporting, reconciliations, and audit, while participating in treasury and seasonal budget/forecasting processes. This is a hands-on management role and will have assigned accounting task responsibility such as reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reports. The role will also interact with team members in Canada and Mexico as needed and partner with the 3rd party processing team.

What you will do:

  • Oversee and participate in month-end close while ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met
  • Review and approve reconciliations while focusing on timely resolution and follow up of any aged items
  • Work with Treasury Manager to review net working capital, assist with cash forecasting, and other treasury needs
  • Work with direct reports to ensure commissions are processed in a timely manner, recommending process changes where necessary
  • Participate in the budget/forecasting process with Accounting team members and work with other departments to gather necessary information to achieve deadlines
  • Partner with 3rd party processing team and management to ensure accuracy of processes and timely completion of deliverables
  • Provide overall management guidance to direct reports, allocate tasks and review responsibilities for streamlining and general employee feedback where required

What you need:

  • B. S Degree in Accounting (Finance will be considered)
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in accounting/finance with proven track record
  • SAP system experience strongly preferred, ERP experience required (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Netsuite)
  • Strong knowledge of computers (Windows and Mac OS) and networking
  • Self-starter and able to take on difficult problems and work them through to resolution
  • A comfortable and confident speaker able to communicate effectively to a wide audience from production personnel, through management and business owners
  • Able to manage multiple high-priority action items

Location: Kennesaw, GA

Pay Range: 115 K – 140 k

Our compensation structure is based on market, skills, and experience along with other key factors. Please note candidates will be evaluated on these factors to determine actual pay. Total compensation can be larger when factored in with benefits, bonuses, or commissions if applicable.
