The VP is responsible for the developing, implementing, scaling and leading the resilience of NIT Core Infrastructure Services.

As a key part of the National IT leadership team, they will provide broad perspective and thought leadership to develop and implement key strategies and critical business priorities at the System level.

 The new VP will be accountable for delivering strategic direction, consulting, standards, and technology guidance in support of internal customers so that they can achieve their business objectives relating to enterprise information management and application delivery.What You Will DoLeads the team and programs responsible for ensuring the operational resilience & excellence for the Federal Reserve’s critical systems & core foundational infrastructure Methodically assesses current state and improves the reliability and resiliency posture of the current on-prem environmentAccountable platform service owner of Core Infrastructure Services to include Storage, Backups, Backup Replication, VMWare, AIX Frame management, Command Center, and system management toolsWorking with stakeholders across NIT, creates process and workflow maps of critical systems to create short, mid-, and long-term roadmaps designed to improve operational reliability and resilience Establishes robust operations monitoring and management reporting & core infrastructure services telemetryCollaborates with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation to improve the uptime of production environmentsContinually explores the operational and technical root causes of incidents and establishes remediation issuesDrive the business case for and build an enterprise class tools & resiliency engineering discipled team to support the increased use of automation at scale across NIT and in conjunction with application development teams move towards infrastructure as codeEnsures the infrastructure solutions operated are compliant with SAFR and Technology standards and external regulatory and statutory requirements.Responsible for the annual budget and expendituresQualificationsProfessional experience and demonstrated success in evaluating significant IT processes and maintaining a robust Information Technology control environment for a complex IT organizationDemonstrated ability to lead a team through changing work requirements and priorities, demanding deadlines, operational crisis situations, as well as being able to keep pace with multiple concurrent initiatives and develop and implement long term goals and operating plansAbility to effectively navigate and achieve results on initiatives that have both a cross-functional and cross-district impactFive (5) to seven (7) years of progressive leadership experience in roles responsible for managing multiple functions in a demanding environment, preferably within the IT spaceBachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
