Required Skills & Experience

At Excite, we value your unique background and want to be sure your experience matches the job. For the Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist position, you should meet the following criteria:

  • At least 5 years’ CDI experience
  • Strong clinical and coding knowledge
  • Experience educating physicians, residents, mid-levels and assisting with developing & implementing CDI process’
  • Must have level 1 teaching/trauma experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing, preferred
