Pharmacist—Cancer Genomics Pharmacist

Job Summary Cancer Genomics Pharmacist provides clinical, research, and consultative services for Medical Staff, Pharmacy Staff, Nursing Staff, clinical research staff, Avera regional staff, and other departments where applicable.

Primary role of the Cancer Genomics Pharmacist is to provide leadership and expertise in providing molecular services for the cancer program and collaborate with department and ACI leadership to develop strong relationships with internal and external entities to expand the utility of genomics for our patients.

Serves as an oncology and genomics clinician and supports the provision of molecular data and clinical review through presentation at molecular and disease-specific tumor boards, research conferences, and applicable internal and external meetings.

Analyzes and reviews the medical literature regarding utilization and application of clinical and investigational products for molecular rationale and clinical efficacy.

Must utilize effective problem-solving skills as appropriate and accept personal responsibility and accountability for the patients outcomes.

Education and/or Experience Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree required with more than 3 years experience in Oncology post-residency training.

Board certification in Oncology Pharmacy required.

Completion of ASHP Accredited PGY1 and PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency preferred.

3-5 years of genomics experience preferred.

Certification, Licensure and/or Registrations Registered Pharmacist in the state of South Dakota required and other states as required by job duties.
