In this position you are responsible for leading the Dental Assistant program within the campus.

Hiring and leading faculty, ensuring student attendance, retention and successful completion.

Leading through change within a fast fast paced environment and adhering compliance guidelines.

Alterius, an ECMC Education company, offers a great opportunity to influence the next generation of dental assistants.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsure there are adequate faculty, course offerings, and facilities and equipment to accommodate the needs of the students within the programSchedule faculty assignments in accordance with company, state, and accreditation guidelinesCoordinate and assist in the implementation of a retention plan and oversight of student retention within the Dental Assistant Program, meeting retention rates in accordance with institution, accreditation and company attrition goalsMaintain students’ records, including attendance time sheets, and ensure all assignments are competed and meet the requirements as determined by the current courseProvide support and additional coverage for the available open teaching assignments and/or other positions as necessaryPursue ongoing formal training designed to maintain and upgrade professional, instructional and administrative capabilitiesHire and train new staff as needed to support programAttend campus meetings and functions and assist with graduation ceremoniesManage multiple projects concurrently and adjust to fluctuating prioritiesMaintain current requirements, training/professional development, licensures and certifications as required by the Faculty Credentials and Qualifications Handbook and to meet professional practice requirementsMaintain a flexible work schedule with the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentPerform other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:Minimum of HS Diploma or GED AND diploma or certificate in dental assisting3+ years related practical work experience in the area of dental assisting post degreeCurrent and unrestricted CDA, EFDA or EDDA in the state of positionMust complete the CPR/BLS certification training within 60 days of hire2+ years leadership and/or teaching experienceExperience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookExperience managing multiple projects concurrently and adjust to fluctuating prioritiesPreferred Qualifications:Associates degree in dental assistingExperience teaching or leading in a blended education environmentExperience hiring/interviewing staffExperience in a Program Chair or education leadership roleTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
