Human Resources Manager

Human Resources Manager / HR Business Partner Location : Benton, Kentucky Reports to : Vice President Human Resources FLSA Status : Exempt Primary Purpose : Manages full-range plant human resources function in support of manufacturing operations.

Provides HR business partner support to the Benton Plant Manager, plant leadership team, and workforce of 120 employees.

Key Responsibilities Ensures plant staffing needs are met by managing the workforce planning, recruiting, selection and placement of candidates for hourly and salaried positions.

Creates a positive workplace culture by executing recognition, retention, and engagement events and programs.

Actively participates in Operations meetings to ensure an integrated business partnership and strong link with strategy and the direction of the business.

Leads a culture of compliance with all federal, state and local laws, regulations and guidelines concerning human resources (i.e., FLSA, EEO, FMLA, ADEA, ADA, NLRA, etc.).

Maintains accurate HR records (payroll, benefits, personnel files, timekeeping, reviews, etc.) Administers wage, salary, and benefits programs in the plant.

Identifies, develops and implements effective, efficient, and compliant HR processes.

Conducts investigations; recommends and implements corrective action plans.

Position Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field Minimum of 5 years of job related experience Working knowledge of human resources, staffing/recruiting, employee relations, business practices, and employment laws Experience leading Human Resources in a unionized environment, with strong working knowledge of labor relations process (grievances, negotiations, etc.) Must be able to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
