DescriptionGeorgia-Pacific is looking for qualified professionals to be our Continuous Manufacturing Group Materials Analyst.The Materials Analyst will utilize leadership, influence, manufacturing experience and communication capabilities to develop and implement strategies to lead our organization through implementing automation standards and projects.

The Continuous Manufacturing Group (CMG) includes Containerboard Mills, Cellulose Mills, Paper Mills and Converting facilities.The success of this role will be measured in how effectively and efficiently manufacturing sites are able to deploy automation for manufacturing material flow.

This role is accountable for supporting the sites automation leaders, defining Work Flows for automation, site change management readiness, Business engagement/compliance to automation standards and support of CSC reliability of assets.This position may be home-based, will require up to 50% travel, will have indirect reports.

This role will have high visibility with key site and corporate leadership and will be working as part of a team to deliver significant bets to the business.What You Will Do In Your RoleEnsure Work Flow is defined and consistent to enable successful implementation of AutomationDevelop standard procedures and training materials for new or altered work process that interface with the automation systemMetric standard procedures for new/altered work process to ensure they are being executed at a facility levelIndirect reports of Lead facility Automation teamsWork with facility Automation leaders to ensure work systems in facilities support Automation e.G., Staffing, skills & lines of progressionWork daily with facility Automation leaders on closing gaps the facilities have identified by Automation Remote Monitoring center and platform team.Goal is vehicle is returned to service in 24 hours or lessEnsuring facility Automation leaders are fulfilling their RR& E at the facility supporting change where neededProactively communicate business changes that effect the automation and sponsor change requestsReview all Capital and Business projects to understand effects on automation and ensure proper scope, funds and timeline are included in the projects to maintain or improve system capabilities.Own Site readiness for AutomationOwn prioritization of Automation ProjectsThe Experience You Will BringRequirements:Manufacturing Management or Direct Supervisory experience with responsibility for direct reports.3 or more years of experience working within a manufacturing or industrial setting; direct experience must include operational/logistics responsibilities or direct consultationExperience with driving manufacturing change and/or Operational Discipline improvements in a manufacturing organization against targeted initiativesAbility to travel domestically up to 50% (M-F) with occasional weekend travelExperience using Microsoft Office Tools such as Word (creating documents), Excel (creating spreadsheets, utilizing formulas, & analyzing data), and Outlook (scheduling meeting invites & emailing)What WillPut You AheadBachelor’s degree or higherManufacturing Management or Direct Supervisory experience with responsibility for direct reports.10 or more years of operational experience within a manufacturing/industrial setting or direct consultationExperience working within pulp, paper, and/or tissue groupsOur goal is for each employee, and their families, to live fulfilling and healthy lives.
