This role reports to Product Manager and is located in Atlanta, Georgia.

As a Product Owner Building Management, you will be responsible for helping people all over the world improve energy efficiency and building operations, giving your work a powerful sense of purpose.

You are a key member of a global product management organization helping to bring to life the vision & strategy for a comprehensive, Internet of Things (IoT) & cloud-based building management offering.

Your efforts will help to drive growth through the creation of useful and easy to use offerings that solve complex and significant customer problems that exist today within building technologies.

This position is graded as global grade 13Your responsibilitiesWork in collaboration with other Global Product Managers to define the overall vision and roadmap for an IoT based Building & Space Management offering, focusing on defining clear value propositions.Act as an Agile Product Owner who identifies, defines, prioritizes, and manages the backlog of Building and Space Management features such as protocol integration, data normalization, alarm management, trends, scheduling, graphical visualizations, etc.Translate long term business/product strategies into short term, iterative development cycles and technical requirements to Research & Development (R&D) teams.Ensure frequent delivery of deployable code (in sprints and MVPs) in relation with the R& D teams.Understand jobs to be done, needs (pain points) and stakeholders’ desired outcomes along the value chain.Help to uncover and prioritize ideas that deliver differentiated value.Follows and understands global standards and customer requirements and their impact on the building management offering.

Conducts competitor analyses and evaluates the ABB position.Clarifies positioning of the offering within the portfolio and performs active lifecycle management.Work with cross-functional and cross-geography teams providing product related direction to R& D, design and communication teams.Understands and implements new business models and channels.Educate internal product, sales and marketing organizations about our building management related solutions.Your backgroundBachelor’s degree in software engineering or computer science.Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in product management or as product owner, preferable within an international business environment, preferentially related to SW, IT, IoT, UX.Possess a strong technical background of software engineering, system architectures, networking technologies, IoT & cloud technologies.Possess a strong customer orientation with the ability to clearly communicate customer needs within the project team.Experience with Agile methodologies (e.G.

Scrum, Lean) and associated DevOps tooling is required.Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), related software platforms and associated integration process.Experience with HVAC protocols (e.G.

BACnet, LonWorks) is required and electrical protocols (KNX, Modbus) is preferred.Highly motivated and results oriented individual possessing the ability to proactively lead/drive initiatives with an entrepreneurial mindset.Strong written & verbal communication skills and ability to tailor communication level to match the audience type.Track record of working effectively with internationally distributed teams and different stakeholders, technical and non-technical.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.BenefitsRetirement planLife insuranceDisability insuranceMedical insuranceWellbeing programMore about usWe look forward to receiving your application.
