Job Details


  • Required Licensure or other certifications Registered Dietitian by Commission for Dietetic Registration or eligible for registration.
  • Required Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition
  • Required Minimum Experience 2 years of experience as Dietitian
  • Required Spanish Speaking Bilingual
  • Preferred Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)


  • Under general direction, is responsible and accountable for nutritional patient care, diet counseling, management, and educational functions of a specialized clinical nutrition services
  • This position will care for patients in the adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups.
  • Employee performs clinical duties in accordance with population specific guidelines and adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as outlined in policy and procedures.
  • Works collaboratively with Manager to oversee the management of all outpatient diabetes nutrition programs.
  • Responsible for providing nutritional counseling for the Diabetes Education Program.
  • Maintains effective written and verbal communication skills with supervisor, other departments, and other areas within the department to ensure timely job completion
  • Responsible for assisting in the growth and promotion of diabetes education and/or nutrition counseling throughout the hospital.
