Responsibilities

Primary Responsibility:

Oversee the cross functional planning and communication of global market development projects prior to mobilization.

This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members in order to move projects from initial identification validation through detailed engineering design.

Work with Supply Chain Solutions, Business Development, Legal, Finance, Operations, and Real Estate to identify and actively manage all aspects of global market development projects.

Essential Functions:

• Effective collaboration with all relevant business functions and stakeholders
• Understand and follow Americold Strategic Market Development process
• Develop and execute market project plans
– revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
• Provide routine updates to key stakeholders and senior leadership
• Identifies resources needed and assign individual responsibilities
• Manages day-to-day tactical aspects of a portfolio of active projects
• Work directly with Real Estate group to identify strategic real estate options
• Work directly with Supply Chain Solutions to develop optimal initial concept designs and related capital requirements
• Work directly with Commercial Finance to understand all aspects of financial returns related to market development projects
• Work directly with Legal Team to minimize commercial and capital risk
• Ability to manage cross functional teams, assign ownership, and drive accountability
• Provide thought leadership related to Market Development process improvement
• Manage change control so that as potential scope changes arise, they are each carefully analyzed, reviewed, and appropriately approved; develop solution options as needed to drive decisions
• Travel on short notice and possibly for extended periods of times.
• Other duties and special projects as requested.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

Education, Training & Professional Experience:
• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Communications or other business related majors
• Master’s Degree (MBA) a plus
• 8-10 years of related experience, including 3-5 years of demonstrated Project Management experience and at least 5 years of supply chain experience
• Demonstrated experience managing large capital investment projects
• Advanced capabilities with MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Demonstrated experience in financial modeling
• Successful track record managing cross functional teams
• Industrial Real Estate development experience a plus

Knowledge & Employment Standards:
• Must be able to travel at an estimated 25-50% of the time to support projects, including international trips which may be more extended in duration
• Ability to communicate professionally, both written and verbally with individuals at all levels of the organization, external contacts, customers and potential customers
• Demonstrates uncompromising level of integrity and code of ethics and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
• Demonstrates a servant leadership style with strong impact and influencing skills
