Environmental Analyst (Part-Time)

CSS has partnered with an innovating consulting firm seeking an Environmental Analyst on a part-time basis to provide regulatory analysis of federal, state, and local environmental regulations impacting the organization in its planning and operations. The selected individual will apply theory and principles of environmental engineering used in prevention, control, and remediation of environmental pollution and will help with reporting, strategic planning and permitting.

This is an “intern type role” best suited for college students. The candidate will be doing a pre-review of construction projects to verify what permits are required for the project.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Environmental Science, Natural Resources Management or related field.
• Basic knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of environmental rules and regulations
• Experience analyzing federal, state, and local environmental regulations that impact the client in its planning and/or operations and develops options for compliance with impacted work areas.
• Experience obtaining licensing and/or permitting
• Experience conducting environmental field investigations, and inspections on client construction sites and properties
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail, and scheduling
