Knowledge Analyst – Social Impact

WHAT YOU’LL DO As a Knowledge Analyst (KA) within BCG’s Social Impact Practice Area, you will work in a fast growing and entrepreneurial global team, providing expertise and insights for the ESG “S”/DE&I topic to assist private sector clients determine which commercial levers and solutions will have the highest return on investment and implement on the ground those that drive the highest impact.

You will collaborate with BCG case and proposal teams to deliver customized knowledge assets, analytics and expert advisory to our clients, in areas including DE&I, inclusive supply chains, reduction in pay gap initiatives, health equity, financial & digital inclusion and employee human rights.

In addition, you will support your ESG “S”/DE&I topic team in developing intellectual property and managing content on internal BCG websites, ensuring availability of latest, high-quality materials.

You will also support business development and go-to-market efforts, as opportunities arise, with research and analysis.

• Applying ESG data & analytics expertise in a multi-sector context

• Interacting with internal and external stakeholders while working in a global collaborative team environment YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience required in the area of sustainable finance, sustainable investing and/or ESG research; candidates with consulting, banking, investor or public policy experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree required in relevant fields; advanced degree preferred
• Knowledge and familiarity with broader ESG “Social” domain e.g., Diversity & Inclusion, Inclusive supply chain, financial materiality, SDGs, TCFD, regulatory trends
• Proficiency with ESG data (e.g., from MSCI, Refinitiv, Sustainalytics, ISS, S&P)
• Deep understanding of international regulatory bodies and ratings agencies (e.g.

EFRAG, Social Bond Principles, SASB, GRI, EU Taxonomy, UN SDGs)
• Strong analytical and presentation capabilities, particular mastery of Powerpoint and Excel

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The Knowledge Team (KT) is a group of functional and/or industry experts leveraging deep domain knowledge to enable insight for case teams and clients.

KT members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight.

BCG’s Knowledge Team members have the opportunity to be staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information.

KT members also support the PA’s business development and proposals and help to organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver superior business value for its clients.
