Responsibilities

- Support Product Owners/Leads in any of the following areas:
- revenue
- operational reporting
- budgeting & forecasting
- accounts payable
- purchasing
- travel & entertainment
- general ledger
- period close
- investments / consolidations
- prepaid assets
- fixed assets
- capital software
- intangible assets / goodwill
- payroll
- debt
- treasury
- tax
- Work directly with and support the designated business Product Owner and Leads in order to meet the established ERP Project Schedule.
- Train alongside the designated Product Owner and Leads in learning the functionality and technical capabilities of the new ERP application.
- Complete any technical requests submitted by the product owner or program lead in the area of:
- Initial set up of the new ERP application, along with the Product Owner and/or Lead(s)
- Data conversions from Lawson to the new ERP
- Oversee the design, development, testing of Interfaces or the use of ERP connectors to other applications identified during the project with the appropriate technical developer or team
- Assist the Product Owner, Leads and work with the Security Officer with setting up workflows.
- Customization, if required, this position will work with the ERP Implementation Partner to develop a Key Decision Document that can be understood by the business and lay out options and pricing for business, IT and Steering Committee approval
- Submit the approved customization request to the EA F2A Agile team
- Configurations which are technical in nature
- Supporting the Product Owner and Leads in understanding the configuration decisions and collaborating to arrive at the ‘best decision’
- Work with the Enterprise Architecture specialist to define the best possible design to make the Workday platform and ERP echo system work for Vizient to support future business growth.
- Assure the proper master data sources to deliver process integration
- Promote the build it once and eliminate redundant touchpoints
- Integration with source and target systems
- Integration with the security model
- Work with the ERP Security Officer to establish the appropriate security roles for the application(s) which align with the overall Security Architecture of the new ERP.
- Assign security roles for all identified users in order for them to perform their business functions within the application
- Assure all security roles within the application are free of any segregation of duty issues
- Support the Product Owner in all reporting aspects
- Be the technical liaison for the assigned application with other ERP Functional Specialist positions
- Drive the system adopt versus adapt enhancement strategy
After the ERP Implementation:
This position will perform the daily IT support of the assigned ERP application(s) and its users.
- Approve new user security requests
- Designated IT Support for the Product Owner/Lead with any Workday technical related questions/issues
- Review any new security role requested by the Product Owner for segregation of duty issues and alignment with the overall ERP Security Architecture
- Open tickets and follow through with the ERP vendor to obtain timely resolution to application production issues
- Address any failed interface or related data issue with the data owner
- Test any new ERP application functionality release and review with the Product Owner and Security Officer for a timely implementation in order to keep the application current with the latest software release
- Maintain ERP application IT documentation in a centralized repository
