Jim Hardman Buick GMC is now hiring for friendly Parts Counter Salespeople who will assist technicians and customers in obtaining and purchasing needed parts and supplies. Our Parts Department is very busy, and we’re scheduling interviews and training immediately! Previous automotive retail or dealership auto parts experience is a plus – we will train you!     Responsibilities – Parts Counter Person:

    • Issue parts and accessories promptly to technicians from the service parts counter
    • Track all incoming and outgoing parts for the dealership
    • Offer top level service to our customers and technicians
    • Handle incoming phone calls efficiently
    • Sell parts to meet monthly forecasts
    • Control files, reference books, and other paperwork at the parts counter
    • Look up and sell automotive parts to all customers: shop, over the counter, wholesale, via internet as well as the phone
    • Take inventory of stock
    • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts

      Requirements – Parts Counter Person:

      • Experience is preferred, but we will train the right candidate!
      • Previous experience in an automotive service or parts department is required
      • Prompt and dependable work attendance
      • Friendly and good customer service skills
      • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
      • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
