Director, Diversity & Inclusion

New Relic

This is a Full-time position in Atlanta, GA posted February 20, 2021.

People Operations (HR) Portland, Oregon Atlanta, Georgia

We are growing our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team! Ideally, your goal is to make the necessity of having a team that focuses on what is vital today obsolete. Ambitious? Yes. We are serious about empowering you to blend your passion for DE&I into insights that keep New Relic delivering for both customers and employees. Reporting to the Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) as part of our People Team, you will establish and lead high-impact DE&I programs globally. To make New Relic more diverse, equitable, and inclusive, you will undoubtedly have good days and some challenging days. So, in addition to being resilient in your resolve, you are deeply knowledgeable about real-time trends and research in corporate DE&I to have a systemic impact assisted by the credibility of data. We value progress over perfection and work as a team to ensure that every Relic feels a genuine sense of belonging. If this sounds like you, let’s talk!

What You’ll Do

  • Develop diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies to promote a diverse and inclusive workplace that attracts and retains the very best talent
  • Drive thought leadership and practical problem-solving needed to advance our DE&I goals
  • Benchmark with industry practices for approaches to advance diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Partner with the broader People Team to build influential hiring, promotion, development, and retention programs for historically underrepresented employees
  • Develop and deliver a process for measuring, and evaluating, and reporting on the effectiveness of our global and division-level DE&I initiatives
  • Partner with Marketing and Communications to create and shape messaging content that shares our DE&I story both internally and externally
  • Review and evaluate company policies and systems with an eye towards identifying and mitigating bias

Your Qualifications

  • Documented success implementing and managing DE&I programs, ideally within a fast-paced global company. (Will consider someone who was in a different role but led or supported DE&I efforts from their role in an org).
  • Excellent facilitation, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to shift thinking and build trust across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated experience building formal frameworks for road mapping multi-year strategic programs
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret benchmarks into actionable insights.
  • Collaborative consensus builder who understands how to achieve agreement from different leaders and who builds bridges and designs “win-win” solutions across a global organization
