Our client, an enterprise technology solutions firm, is expanding their team and hiring for this new role, Sr.

Director, Sales and Business Development

The Sr.

Director of Sales and Business Development partners with Enterprise Client Leadership, Business Operations, and Recruiting within the organization to implement the sales strategy set from the executive leadership team.

The director of sales is expected to prioritize opportunities, provide executive level organizational communications, increase sales growth, streamline the sales process, coach professionals on the sales team, and personally contribute to expanding the footprint of our current Fortune 500 client base by generating new sales revenue.

Location

While the role currently is remote, applicants are preferred from one of their regions: St.

Louis, MO; Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; Minneapolis, MN; New York/New Jersey; Columbus, OH

Responsibilities include:
Develop, implement, and own a sales process to manage and prioritize outbound activity, lead intake, sales pipeline, and existing customer engagement.

Offer insight into current and perspective clients that can be translated direct sales pipeline growth.

Coach and lead sales team Willing and able to take responsibility for driving the evolution of the go-to-market strategy and continuously growing revenue with individuals and team sales efforts.

Participates directly in client-facing sales activities.

Responsive, highly accountable and solution focused when dealing with clients.

Demonstrated ability and maturity to sell and build relationships with C-Level executives
A strong candidate will possess the following soft skills:
Hands-on, flexible, and willing to learn Daugherty’s proprietary method for selling.

Possess a positive problem solving, thought leadership-oriented mentality.

Be willing to meet new challenges with curiosity, passion and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Be smart, professional and collaborative with a track record of success.

Possess a high level of business acumen and executive level communication skills.

Understanding of technology solutions across a broad array of capabilities, including but not limited to: Software Architecture and Engineering Data and Analytics Agile Product Development, Delivery and Leadership Management Consulting / Strategic Consulting Services Be able to work well with technical experts to achieve business results.

Exhibit the willingness to coach and be coachable.

Be knowledgeable about how to run a successful sales campaign within a large Fortune 500 client.

Be able to open new clients and coach others how to open new clients.

Interested in staying up to date on Market, Business, and competitive trends in the IT Solutions Service domains

Qualifications
5-10 years’ experience in the IT/Software industry.

5 years’ experience in professional IT service owning sales with a demonstrated ability to manage a pipeline, carry through and close deals.

Individual contributor, with 3+ years managing a small team.

Experienced with writing RFP responses, proposals and SOW’s.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education background
Compensation Range

· Negotiable based upon experience
– Starting at $300K+ in total compensation (40% base plus 60% incentive)
